Not that I'm really looking for a reaction...it just would've been nice to get some encouragement that I'm not the only one of a half century old that has a youngish outlook...living in a town with lots of REALLY mature people in it.

Heard one today complain about the weather....about it being horrible wind and rain....makes me want to scream out IT'S NOVEMBER!!! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!!....but I couldn't (tell you some time why)

Anybody who was born here also has 'the sign'......it's a permanent small red circular mark on at least one foot (if you've not lost a leg)...comes from standing around innocently and having a persons whole weight transfered through their zimmer frame onto it!

There's a long road where at the top you can see a long way down....not that long...still impressive though...but wouldn't take long to do in car at normal boring 30mph.

I have seen a mate on the other side of the road...shouted hello...we've crossed to the middle...stopped and chatted... finished our conversation and walked back to our sides of the pavement again.

This is before a car we saw at the start of all this, reach the spot in the middle we were at... and it has behind the steering wheel some dottery person.... complete with oxygen mask on and a cylinder tank on the back seat!

Small accidents like a shunt into the back of a car are a real problem...with those cylinders you've got no chance...ever seen compressed oxygen go up?
